5 Stars Love it!
My 2 year old loves this book!! He loves trains and this book is so catchy and cute that my son has parts memorized. He can almost read it back to me! This book also helped my son understand some different features like the signals, switches, tunnels, coach cars, and different features that make up a train. If your child loves trains, then this will further your young ones knowledge to some extent.
5 Stars Terrific!!!
What a wonderful book! We got this for our 2 1/2 year old for Christmas. He loves it! The pictures are great and there’s not too many words on each page. The story is kind of a rhyme too. It’s so fun to read and our son gets excited about reading it. I will be getting more of these books.
5 Stars Terrific TRains
This was another gift to our great grand son. He loved it. So did his Mother.
5 Stars Terrific!
Both of my children (girl and boy) have loved this book. It is clever and rhythmic making it fun to read (I still don’t mind reading it after 4 years). I would highly recommend it especially for toddlers.
5 Stars My Boys love these books
We have the whole series now and my 5year old & 3 year old love all of these books. The illustrations are great and the text has been written in a way that enables my 5 year old to practise his reading skills. The last page with the glossary of vehicle parts gets their creative juices flowing on how it works…just be ready with further explanation as to the function of these parts…or ask Daddy!

Natures Great Events The Most Amazing Natural Events on the Planet
Nature’s Great Events is the lavishly illustrated counterpart to the Discovery Channel’s landmark wildlife documentary, Nature’s Most Amazing Events. Using groundbreaking filming techniques and state-of-the-art scientific technologies, the book and the documentary on which it is based are epic in every sense, charting six seasonal events that transform entire ecosystems and the life experiences of the thousands of animals within them, from the largest mammals to the smallest microorganisms.
The six events include the flooding of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, which turns sprawling swaths of desert into an elaborate maze of lagoons and swamps; the melting of 10 million square kilometers of ice in the Arctic, which imperils polar bears across the region; the migration of the Serengeti, where life is on the edge for both predator and prey and where lions and wildebeest battle to survive; the great salmon run in British Columbia, where rivers teem with thousands of fish—and where grizzlies and wolves eagerly await them; the explosion of sea life in Alaska’s coastal waters, where countless animals from far and wide brave killer whales to feed; and the greatest marine spectacle on the planet, the annual tide of sardines along South Africa’s east coast, where the greatest concentration of predators—including sharks and dolphins—come to feast.
These events are among the processes most important to the survival of life on the planet. Tracking them at every stage with over 400 remarkable photographs throughout, the book follows individual animals as they live and die during these events, often capturing the drama from their unique point of view. The result is an awe-inspiring and truly novel work that brings these events into more brilliant focus than ever before.

5 Stars Excellent Cartoon Manual for Beginners and Experts Alike
[...]
This cartoon manual by Harry Hamernik (author of the equally excellent carticature manual - “Face Off”)neatly bridges the gap between beginner and expert instruction. It does this via a brief introduction to materials, leading in turn to basic shapes, anatomy and character design - all in an easy to follow, step by step method which will have even beginners able to draw the basics by page 31.
What it then does, which will be useful to more experienced cartoonists who may not have specialised in cartoon animals before, is to present over seventy pages of “practice gallery” featuring projects on a wide range of animals - from chimpanzees to crocadiles and snakes to sharks - which again are basic enough for the beginner, but also rich enough in character for the more experienced artist to use as a base for detailed work or for animation.
All in all, I would highly recommend this book as a great introduction to anyone interested in drawing cartoon animals, at whatever level.
5 Stars Awesome Book!!
This book is nothing short of spectacular. The author takes you step by step with clear and concise instructions on how to draw cartoon animal characters. Having owned Harry’s first book, “Face off”. I knew this one would be a good book I bought the book for my 9 year old son who loves to draw. We have only owned this book for about a month and i have noticed his skills in drawing have gotten a lot better. This book has material for pretty much all skill levels. If your looking to learn how to draw cartoon animals, look no further because this book really has it all. I give this book an A+. Looking forward to more great books from this author!!
5 Stars excellent book
This is an excellent book. I am a new cartoonist and I’ve been looking through a lot of books over the past few weeks. Most of them suffer from the same problem - they focus too much on showing off the author’s own art and fill the pages with huge pictures while providing little instruction on how the reader can produce their own works.
This book is different. It has very little filler. Spends one or two pages on materials, rather than 20 like in a lot of other books. The author spends time telling you how to construct each different part of the animal and teaches you tricks that will allow you to draw them from any angle facing any direction without having them appear “off.” He teaches you how to place the features on the face properly and how to construct a proportional body. Hamernik is genuinely interested in teaching the readers how to create their own animals and every picture he shows in the book is just an example, rather than something to just copy.
Like I said, the author seems genuinely interested in teaching as best as he possibly can. He even has a facebook group where you can post your cartoonimals and receive feedback. Pretty impressive, and he doesn’t charge money for it.
This is probably the best book out there if you want to learn to draw cartoon animals. I’ve looked at a lot of others and they are more focused on just teaching you how to copy their drawings, which is alright for a beginner like myself… but eventually you will want to learn the principals that will allow you to create great looking, original pictures. This is the book for you if that is what you are trying to achieve.
